Prof. Chris Ogbechie

He is the Dean of the prestigious Lagos Business School, ranked first in Africa and one of the top 50 business schools globally by Financial Times. He holds a first-class honours degree in mechanical engineering from Manchester University and MBA from Manchester Business School. He has wide experience in marketing and strategy derived from his work as Head of Marketing/Sales at Nestle Nigeria, Xerox and his consulting work with Nigerian firms over the years. He has been involved with
several start-ups, and he is on the board of several companies. He teaches strategy and corporate governance in the Lagos Business School. His current research interests include strategic planning and corporate governance. He has also presented papers on Corporate Governance in International Conferences. For example, his paper titled: “Corporate Governance Practices of Publicly Quoted Companies in Nigeria” was published in the International Journal of Business Governance and Ethics
(Vol. 3 No. 4). Furthermore, he recently published a book titled “Strategic Marketing of Financial Services – A Nigerian Perspective”. Professor Ogbechie was the former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Diamond Bank Plc (now Access Bank Plc).
