A brief history about us

Our Story

Health Partners (HMO) Limited was established in 1999 and was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission on April 9, 1999. The Company initially started operations as a Health Management Company, involved in many public and private healthcare institutional restructuring, recruitment and human resources development, funds sourcing for private hospitals and assistance in areas of financial and hospital management.

In August 2006, Health Partners subsequently commenced operations as a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) providing managed healthcare services to both public and private institutions. We have a network of providers comprising of primary, secondary and tertiary health providers. Arrangements have been formalized with over 600 providers to render care to our enrollees.

The company believes in transparent corporate governance and the integrity brought in by the founding fathers and members of the board. From a modest beginning, Health Partners has grown and become established in the big league of the managed care industry through the dedicated service of a highly disciplined and resourceful management team.

In furtherance of this resolve, we are committed to:

  • Ensuring our clients’ service requirements, including all unstated service application requirements are identified, documented and fulfilled.

  • Complying with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 quality management standard, and all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensuring that our employees understand the organization’s commitment to achieving and sustaining clients’ satisfaction.

  • Implementing a risk-based operational and strategic management framework across all our organizational functions.

  • Optimally planning, establishing, documenting, monitoring, measuring and periodically reviewing our operational processes for continued suitability.

  • Provide safe and healthy working conditions for the prevention of work-related injuries and ill health

  • Establishing clear, measurable and appropriate strategic objectives, targets and action plans at relevant functions

  • Maintaining a qualified, professional and adequately equipped workforce through meritorious recruitments, appropriate appraisals and planned capacity development programmes.

  • Continually improve the effectiveness and relevance of HPL’s quality management system through the periodic review of this policy, corporate quality objectives and quality management system documentation

 

All employees of Health Partners Limited, are charged with promoting these aims, and are required to familiarise themselves with the relevant sections appertaining to their responsibilities within our ‘Quality Management System.’

The Managing Director is responsible for the implementation and compliance to the Quality Policy within the organization and will ensure the review of the Policy annually as a minimum or as when the need arises.

This Quality Policy Statement will be displayed prominently within our premises and appropriately communicated to all relevant interested parties.
