Dr. Olumuyiwa Olusanya joined Health Partners in February 2017 as the Chief Operating Officer and was responsible for the overall technical operations of the company, building a foundation for operational excellence and sustained growth of the business before his appointment as the Managing Director/CEO of the company in July 2019. He is passionate about operational excellence and technology as a tool to driving superior experience for enrollees and clients at Health Partners.

His industry experience cut across leadership roles in other major HMOs including Health Plan Manager Abuja/Northern Operations and Head Client Relations & TPA Scheme, Oceanic Health Management Ltd, Head Provider Administration, KBL Healthcare Ltd; and prior to joining Health Partners Ltd, he was the Head, Care Management (Head, Medical Services) at Hygeia HMO Ltd.

He is an alumnus of the prestigious College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, IESE Business School Barcelona, The Lagos Business School Executive-MBA Program and an executive scholar at UPF – Barcelona School of Management’s International Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics program. He is a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and a “Six Sigma Black Belt” trained professional. Dr. Olusanya is a member of the board of trustees of the Institute for Healthcare Finance and Management (IHFM) and an honorary Fellow of the two prestigious institutes – Institute for Healthcare Finance and Management (IHFM) and the Institute for Health Insurance and Managed Care of Nigeria (IHIMN) and an executive member of the Health and Managed Care Association of Nigeria (HMCAN)- the association of leading HMOs in Nigeria.
